How’s everyone’s lockdown going?

Inspiration can be hard to come by right now, and content is getting as repetitive as Groundhog Day… as repetitive as that phrase is tiresome.

Not to worry, because we’ve reloaded our weekly quality content to help you survive quarantine!

Once again - stay safe, stay healthy, and get stuck in!

1) A HERO’S JOURNEY

Stories make up most of our lives. They are foundation of books, songs, art, our ancestry and history.

Stories are like all forms of art, they reflect life, forming a symbolical mirror.

The book A hero With A Thousand Faces’ or better known as ‘A Hero’s Journey’ by Joseph Campbell, tells the tale of the Transformative process that a hero embarks on, and how he then returns as a changed person.

Like Stories Of Old - Stories Vs. Reality

However, this concept of having a ‘hero’ as the protagonist, seems to mainly exist in stories.

But what happens when we approach our own experiences as stories? What are the implications of viewing our life as a Hero’s Journey?

2) IS INSTAGRAM CHANGING ART?

Instagram has grown to become one of the most influential and used social media with over 500 millions daily users and roughly 1 billion monthly users.

Many of us who make and appreciate art spend loads of time on Instagram. How is it changing the way we interpret and interact with art? And is it actually ch...

4) DO MORE BY DOING LESS

Have you ever experienced that moment when you feel like you’ve spent a whole day being busy, but in the end, you look back and realised that you haven’t actually gotten that many things done?

It may be frustrating as the general logic should be that the more effort we put into something, the more we should be able to do.

However, that isn’t always the case. This video explains a theory called the Pareto Principle which states that actually only 20% of out inputs of activities, produce about 80% of the output or the result.

Wondering how exactly that works? take a look!
